Description
I am building a 15 mm × 10 mm cylindrical lattice that reproduces the internal structure of human trabecular hip bone so it can be 3-D printed in metal powder. The part must match bone-level porosity, average pore size and wall thickness while hitting a Young’s modulus and overall behaviour that prioritise strength under compression.
Here is what I need:
• A adaptive design CAD model (nTop software) of the cylinder with a repeatable trabecular pattern whose local density can be tuned to reach the target mechanical properties. (need 4-5 structures like gyroid diamond etc...).
• Supporting calculations and FEA snapshots that justify the chosen porosity, pore size and strut thickness with respect to the required Young’s modulus and compressive strength. (FEA of compression, tension, torsion and bending testing).
• An export-ready file (STL or 3MF, plus the editable source file) prepared for metal-powder additive manufacturing, free of non-manifold edges and respecting a minimum feature size of typical laser-powder bed systems (~100 µm).
. Correlate numerical modelling with experimental compression results to understand the deformation and failure mechanisms of adaptive TPMS lattice structures.
I will verify the design by importing it directly into my slicer and checking it against compression data from the literature, so please include clear annotation of all critical dimensions and any recommended print parameters.
Budget: INR 1500–12500
