Kiosk RTSP Face Display

I need an Android app that boots straight into kiosk (lock-task) mode and plays a live RTSP camera stream full-screen. While the stream is running the tablet must show my branded welcome screen elements plus the live recognition status coming back from our face-recognition server. How I picture the flow – On power-up the app auto-starts, hides the Android system UI and prevents users from exiting. – The RTSP feed (URL will be provided) is rendered smoothly; ExoPlayer or another reliable player is fine as long as latency stays low. – The raw video frames are forwarded in real time to my recognition service over HTTP or WebSocket; the service responds with simple JSON containing name and status. – Those results overlay the video in an unobtrusive banner so visitors always see “branded welcome screen with video and recognition status” exactly as selected. Dev notes • Prefer Kotlin or modern Java, built in Android Studio. • Make the app Device-Owner capable so I can deploy it via ADB and lock the device remotely. • Handle network drops gracefully: keep the stream trying to reconnect and show a small “reconnecting…” notice; no Android crash dialogs should appear. • Brand colors, logo SVG and exact overlay layout will be provided once we start. Acceptance criteria 1. APK installs and sets itself as Device Owner with one ADB command. 2. On reboot the tablet is locked to the app, no navigation bar or status bar visible. 3. RTSP video plays at 25–30 fps with <500 ms end-to-end delay. 4. Recognition JSON echoed from a local mock server is parsed and overlaid in real time. 5. Exiting kiosk requires a secret five-tap gesture plus PIN. 6. Source code, Gradle project, and build instructions delivered in a Git repo. Budget: INR 600–1500
